This generation is so intelligent. They care about racism, feminism, ableism, and that’s such a positive mentality, but they need to leave room for forgiveness. Nobody is perfect and people are educating themselves at different paces. So be mindful.

Cal-arts stuff aside, Steven Universe does get really off model. They just let their storyboard artists do whatever. I’m not an animator so maybe my opinion doesn’t count, but to me that’s just bad fuckin design. It would be bad design in any medium, not just animation.
Nice to see that people are using older TV shows to excuse Steven Universe’s shitty inconsistencies. People will do anything to defend even the biggest flaws in their precious shows. SU is god-fucking-awful with staying on-model no matter how many times you try to deny it. There’s been multiple examples of this happening and yet y’all STILL try and use Red Herrings like damn 80s cartoons.
